Newcomers

St. Luke's welcomes ALL -- absolutely everyone into this community of faith -- as we travel the journey of faith together.  Perhaps you have attended St. Luke's a few times, or more than a few times, and have been "trying us on" to see how we "fit" for you as a possible spiritual home on your journey of faith. 

We hope that your time with us has been a blessing to you and that, perhaps, you are discerning how to get more involved in the life of St. Luke's.  Maybe you have decided that you want to become a member of St. Luke's.  Perhaps you are still discerning and looking to learn and experience more before making a decision.

Either of these, or any number of other options, are okay.

It is, after all, a journey; and we all travel that journey at different speeds.  There is no "right" or "wrong" way to be on the journey of faith or to decide on how St. Luke's can be a community of faith in your life at any given point along the way.

Likewise, there is no hard and fast definition about who is a "newcomer."  Generally, if you have been worshiping with us and are relatively new to St. Luke's (again, this can be somewhat subjective) and are ready to take the next step -- whatever that next step is (small or big); this page is here to assist in 'pointing you in the right direction' as a way of getting the 'ball rolling.'  No web site, no matter how resourceful, is a substitute to personal engagment with our Newcomer Ministry Team, but this page serves as a start and a resource as part of that process.

We are in the process of developing a Newcomer Ministry Team that will assist newcomers in getting to know more about St. Luke's, identify resources available to you, and help you discern in what ways you may want to get involved in the life of St. Luke's.
