The mission of the Church is to reconcile all people to God and each other in Christ as we worship and pray, proclaim the Gospel, and promote justice, peace, and love. This mission is carried out through the varied ministries of the laity, bishops, priests, and deacons -- all the baptized people of God.
At St. Luke's we live into this mission as expressed in our Mission Statement:
The mission of St. Luke’s is to glorify God through worship, fellowship and education by reflecting the Love of Christ through sharing, support and service to our parish family and to the community.
St. Luke's currently organizes its various ministries under four Commissions that work with the Clergy and Vestry to advance our mission:
We are completing our Long Range Planning process. With the results from this process, the Priest-in-Charge,program staff, and Advisory Vestry will be reorganizing our program areas over the summer 2011. Our goal is to better identify the gifts of our parishioners, incorporate those gifts across our ministries, and provide greater connections and coordination across all ministry areas to better serve our Mission & Ministries for the 21st Century.
