Card Ministry
Judy Murphy
Cards are addressed and stamped for parishioners to take and write a short note to those not able to be with us for Sunday worship.

Fellowship
Dan Hartlieb
Provide opportunities for members of St. Luke's and the wider community to gather together to build community through meals and activities.

Funeral Reception
Linda Hall, Marilyn Jacob, Rosemary Sillars
The funeral reception ministry is a dedicated group of St. Luke's members who provide a meal and hospitality for families and friends following funerals at St. Luke's.

Eucharistic Visitors
Chrissie Matthews
We have five Eucharistic Visitors presently serving our shut-ins and those who for some reason are unable to attend services at St. Luke's. This part of our service is so important and is vital to the future of St. Luke's. We want our former attendees to know that we care for them and that they are missed in our Sunday morning and Wednesday noon services. We are currently serving six parishioners. We visit some in their homes and others in a nursing home or a retirement facility. Our Eucharistic Visitors are trained by shadowing a current Eucharistic Visitor. This is a hands-on way to observe and become acquainted with those we visit. For more information about Eucharistic Visitors, please contact our office.

Home Visitors
Jane May
We keep relationships alive between our formerly-active members and our present St. Luke's family. It is a gift to both share our current projects and the past contributions upon which we are built.

Knitters Group
Joyce Sandelin
The knitters of St. Luke's provide caps, scarves and sweater-vests to the Seaman's Church Institute in New York and New Jersey. We gather as a group on the first Monday of each month at 12 noon at the church where we chat and knit. Most of the work, however, is done on our own time at home. There are patterns and yarn available from the Institute, but some of us contribute the yarn for our projects. The garments are given to seamen from all over the world who are in port at Christmas time. We invite any and all to participate, and we will help you get started.

Visitor's Ministry
Chrissie Matthews
St. Luke’s visitors receive a letter thanking them for their visit and encouraging them to return.

Prayer Shawl Knitters
Chrissie Matthews
Each shawl maker begins with prayers and blessings for the recipient. The intentions are continued throughout the creation of the shawl. Upon completion, a final blessing is offered before the shawl is sent on its way. All shawls carry with them the special blessing of the knitter as well as the congregation. Adult shut-ins or those hospitalized are especially comforted by the shawls. The shawls made for babies are given to new mothers from St. Luke's or others who are in need of something to carry their new baby home. Presently, I have quite a few blessed shawls ready to be delivered; however, these can disappear very quickly so if you feel ready to knit one please go ahead and do so. If you need instructions or suggestions, or if you know of someone in need of the comfort of a prayer shawl, please contact

St. Francis Guild
Norma Stancati
We create and maintain the Courtyard and other garden areas on the church property. Regular members and “drop-ins” help on Thursday mornings with ongoing planting and weeding as well as the big spring and fall clean-up Saturdays. As the time draws near we post the clean-up days which have always taken on a party atmosphere. We welcome volunteers as regulars, drop-ins, and spring/fall partiers (oops, workers).

St. Monica's Guild
Sue Kaatz
Gathering of St. Luke's women to offer hospitality and service.

St. Luke's Gifts
Elizabeth Tompkins
We assist in ordering items appropriate for Episcopal parishioners to give such as Book of Common Prayer, Bibles, hymnals and other books, as well as jewelry, and items for baptism and confirmation. Currently these gifts can be ordered from Elizabeth Tompkins.

Stewardship
Charles Mercadal & Robert Taylor
Christian stewardship is the regular practice of returning to God a portion of all that God has given us. We work to make Stewardship an active, vibrant part of our parish life.
