Faith Formation for Children

Children are always welcome at St. Luke's and are a vital part of our parish family. It is our intent that they share fully in all aspects of parish life. We aim to provide space and time where we can learn about God, our world, and ourselves. We expect God to be present with us and pray that all of the children who join us will be touched by God's grace and love.

Liturgy of the Word for Young Children

We offer a Children's Liturgy of the Word during the 9:30 service each Sunday from September through June. At the beginning of the sequence hymn young children (ages 3 and up) are invited to join our Minister of Children and Youth Formation in the library. Our focus is on responding to God's word in an age appropriate manner through story sharing, reflection, music, and art. In keeping with the order for Holy Eucharist we recite our own Creed and share the Prayers of the People. The children re-join their families in time for the Peace.

 Christian Education Classes for Children

We offer Christian Formation for all ages on Sunday mornings following the 9:30 service. Our primary goal is to have the children know that God loves them deeply.  We offer programs for pre-school through High School.

Our children participate in service projects, outings, and community-building activites throughout the year as well.
